It will be recalled that the Sessions Judge on November 26 ordered the Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner Mandi Bahauddin. To be jailed for three months for contempt of court. Deputy Commissioner Tariq Basra and Assistant Commissioner Imtiaz Ali were sentenced to three months in prison for contempt of court. After that both officers went to Lahore.

Later, the Supreme Court heard appeals from Consumer Court Mandi Bahauddin against the DC and AC arrests for three months. The Lahore High Court granted the request of the Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner. AC Mandi Bahauddin was sentenced to three months in prison.
