Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the launch of a Kamiyab jawan sports drive. The largest sports talent hunt program that aims to revive the sports culture in the country.

According to reports, the Prime Minister will formally inaugurate the Kamiyab jawan Sports Drive at Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad on December 6.
In the first phase, talent will also be launch in 12 areas including football, hockey, and cricket in 25 areas. The final list of sports drive games also includes badminton, cricket, boxing, football, handball, pairs, hockey, table tennis, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling, and squash.
As part of the program, training centers for talented youth will be built in the districts. Here are details of the High-Performance Centers to be built under this program:
- Hockey (Multan)
- Weightlifting and wrestling (Lahore)
- Handball (Faisalabad)
- Football and HPC (Karachi)
- Judo (Tando jam)
- Boxing (Lari)
- Cricket (Islamabad)
- Squash (Peshawar)
- Volleyball (Mardan)
- Athletics (Quetta)
- Skiing(UK)
The government plans to establish these sports academies in the district’s higher education institutions. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Steering Committee has already held several meetings on this issue. Attend by vice-rectors of major public universities across the country.
HEC asked the institutions not only to allocate land for the development of these academies. But also to develop sound management and business plans. As well as create funds for sports activities.
Designated higher education institutions will also provide professional human resources to run sports academies.
In addition, National Youth Games will be held annually and university subcommittees will be responsible for all operational issues of the games to ensure that all activities are carry out in a timely and orderly manner.
