Babar Azam named ODI player of the year

Pakistan’s all-format captain Babar Azam has been named ODI Cricketer of the Year by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Babar performs exceptionally well played in the six ODIs last year. His superb leadership skills were demonstrate at the same time. He led Pakistan to a historic 2-1 victory in the ODI series against South Africa away from home.

Babar scored 405 runs in 2021 at an extraordinary average of 67.50. His outstanding performances include two centuries. And a half-century in the calendar year.

The 27-year-old Babar Azam thanked his fans and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for their tireless support in encouraging him. He also thanked his teammates for their invaluable contribution to the team’s success. And also thanked the ICC for giving him this honor. Babar finally thanked his parents. They prayed for his success and say that they are indebted to him for the award.

He reveals. That his best innings were in the third ODI against England last year. Babar scored 158 off 139 balls in the third ODI. His innings include 14 fours and 4 sixes. And helped Pakistan make a big total on the board. Unfortunately, despite Babar’s best efforts. Pakistan lost the match by 3 wickets.

The brilliant middle-order batsman is the third Pakistani player to receive the 2021 Player of the Year award. Earlier, Pakistan’s 21-wicket keeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan was named T20I Player of the Year for his outstanding performance in the format in 2021, and young women’s cricketer Fatima Sana was named Emerging Player of the Year was announce.

Babar Azam fulfilled the dream of a special young fan

Pakistan’s all-format captain Babar Azam fulfilled the dream of a special young fan when he spoke to him on video chat. Young fan Mohammad Aqeel recently uploaded a video online in which he welcomed the Pakistan national team to England and expressed his best wishes for his favorite batsman.

“My name is Muhammad Aqeel. Welcome to Babar Azam, England. I always support you, and I am a great devotee of Karachi Kings. May Allah give you lots of success. ” Aqeel said in the video.

The video also caught the attention of Babar Azam. And also Pakistan team manager Mansoor Rana decided to have a virtual meeting with the young fan. “I watched your video and I genuinely liked it. Thank you for your support and your support makes us stronger every time. I wish you all the best,” Babar told fans.

Babar also asked Aqeel about his favorite team, to which he replied, ‘Karachi Kings’. Aqeel said that his favorite player in the world is Babar Azam. And he was a fan of Babar Azam’s core drive.

On the other hand. Mansoor Rana also promised to provide the young boy with tickets for the second T20I International to be played between Pakistan and England on July 18 in Headingley, Leeds. Pakistan Cricket Board’s official channel uploaded a video of the heartfelt conversation on various social media platforms:
